Molter "Sonny" Koenig, age 80, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Duane Galbraith officiating. Burial will take place at Fryburg Cemetery with Military Rites being conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Sonny was born June 25, 1937 in Benton, Ohio and was the son of Otis and Bernice (Wilson) Koenig. On March 8, 1964 he married Carol Bennett and she preceded him in death on May 27, 2012.
Sonny owned and operated Koenig Concrete and worked 20 years on the Bridge Crew for V.O. Menuez & Son. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Sonny enjoyed working at the Love Center, volunteering his time. He also liked reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling the back roads of Holmes County.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Melissa) Koenig of Pickerington, Ohio and Mitchell (Kimberly) Koenig of Millersburg, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mac, Marc, Cody (Stacy), Logan and Kittora Koenig; and three great grandchildren, Vincent, Quentin and Avaelia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stephen Koenig.
