William 'Bill" Brown, age 71, of Glenmont, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family following a short battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 20th at the Killbuck Valley Christian Church with Pastor Dale Duncan officiating. A private family graveside service will take place on Friday at Union Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, following the service at the church. Bill was born January 21, 1952 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Leonard and Alice (Cooper) Brown. On March 16, 1974 he married the love of his life, Joni Conner, and she survives.

Bill was a 1970 graduate of West Holmes High School. He was a self-employed farmer most of his life and retired from Clutter Farms. He was a devout Christian who served as elder and deacon at more than one church in Holmes County. Bill was a 4-H volunteer for 31 years and was a member of the Millersburg Eagles. Although Bill had a quiet nature to himself, he lived life fast and loud. He loved NASCAR, classic car shows and his beloved 1970 Nova. His family was his true passion and treasure and he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Bill was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs, the West Holmes Knights and whatever other schools' sports teams his grandchildren played on. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, Joni are eight children: Jenni Brown (Steve Tish) of Millersburg Brett (Danielle) Brown of Brewster, Mandi Brown (Jeff Varner) of Wooster, Kristi (Ayomade) Adeleke of Solon, Kari (John) Yoder of Stone Creek, Brian Brown of Glenmont, Heidi (Robert) Marshall of Perrysville and Brad Brown of Millersburg; 26 grandchildren: Karrina (Kyle) Wright, Devin Yoder (Kenna Miller), Isaiah Yoder, Damon Yoder (Mckayla Palmer), Darian Brown (Molly Chapman), Sierra Brown, Sophie Garcia, Jillian Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Keira Howard, Kenna Howard, Klarke Howard, Jarrett Varner (Aubrey Bodager), Jaden Varner, Aydin Adeleke, Kamran Adeleke, Alexis Stump, Adrienne Stump, Alivia Stump, Hailey (Tanner) Stutzman, Skylar Yoder (David Freeman), Audryana (Cody) Wolfe, Johnny Yoder, Micah Marshall, Robert Marshall and Nathan Marshall; 10 great-grandchildren: Adalyn, Vincent, Kenley, Hendrix, Knox, Vayden, Maci, Colt, Nash and Grayson; two brothers and their spouses: Jim (Pat) Brown of Ashland and Larry (Sue) Brown of Newark, brothers-in-law: Kenyon Conner (Mary Jane Camacho) and Kyle (Diane) Conner; numerous nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Lester "Bud" Conner; mother-in-law, Dorothy Conner; and his cat that acts like a dog, Fuzz.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lowell Brown.
