WIlliam "Billy" Lockard

William “Billy” Lockard age 78, of Holmesville passed away Sunday May 10, 2026, at the Holmes County Home.

Billy was born December 17, 1947, in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Earl and Goldie (Kline) Lockard. Billy was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1967 to 1969. He was awarded the National Service Medal. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Billy helped in the garden at the Holmes County Home.

He is survived by his son Eric Lockard; brothers Tom Lockard Sr. and David Lockard; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his son Aaron Lockard, siblings Howard, Rusty, Dale and Bob Lockard and Judy Wright.

Interment will take place at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday June 2nd, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio with military rites conducted by the US Army Honor Guard.

The family sincerely thanks the Holmes County Home for the care Billy received over the years.
