Virginia "Ellie" Ellen (DeMarco) Ramseyer

Virginia Ellen “Ellie” Ramseyer, 39, of Millersburg, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 with her mother by her side, at Wooster Community Hospital after an extended battle with angiosarcoma.

Ellie was born in Millersburg on September 21, 1983 to Rick and Lori (Butler) DeMarco. She was a 2002 graduate of West Holmes High School. Ellie married Hans Ramseyer on January 3, 2004, and he survives. In 2006 she graduated magna Cum Laude from Ashland University with degrees in business and marketing.

Ellie was employed by MetLife up until she became a mother to 4 beautiful children. She then took on the role of homemaker for her family. After laying the foundation for her family, she received her yoga certification and opened her yoga studio and gym in 2021.

During her youth she was a member of the Killbuck Valley Christian Church, and most recently attended Grace Church, Millersburg.

Ellie was a loving mother and dedicated wife. She was the “favorite daughter” of her parents. She was the type of person who never met a stranger. Ellie was a beacon of light to others and her presence was infectious. She was driven, determined, and passionate about life.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Ethan, Hadyn, Ana, and Liam Ramseyer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Lydia Ramseyer; 2 aunts, Tammy (Dave) Cross, and Sharon DeMarco; and 2 cousins, Dustin and Shelbee Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by 2 aunts, Jody Shaffer and Susan Helmick.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Millersburg Elementary PTO, 430 East Jackson Street Millersburg, OH 44654.
