"Together Again"

Viola M. Fortune, age 84, of Wooster, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice, following a period of declining health.

Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24rd at killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio with Pastor John Damron officiating. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Viola was born January 14th, 1937 in Coshocton County Ohio to father, Willis Chase, who passed away before she was born, and her mother and the father who she was raised by, Bertha (Donaldson) and Emerson Tish. On July 12th, 1953 she married Raymond L. Fortune and he preceded her in death. 

Viola was a homemaker. She was a past member of West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster. Viola enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to family get togethers.

She is survived by four children, Diane Fortune of Wooster, Wanda (Joe) Smykla of Wooster, Barbara Fortune of Wooster and Michael (Roberta) Fortune of Shreve; nine grandchildren, Caner Hamilton, Jennifer Hamilton, Michael Fortune Jr., Kevin Hamilton, Regina Smith, Jennifer Galley, Braiden Fortune, Courtney Mulidore and Madeline Mulidore; numerous great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Bernard Tish of Coshocton, Jerry Tish of Millersburg, Lorna Pyers of Millersburg and Marylou Mullet of Big Prairie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Rodney Tish, Paul Tish, Wayne Tish and Richard Tish; sisters, Ruth Miller and Ruby Miller; and her son, Donald A. Fortune.
