Ursula F. Burgess, age 88, of Hamburg, New York passed away September 4, 2024 at home with her son's family in Millersburg, Ohio, after having lived a full and wonderful life across multiple countries and enjoying the love and lives of close friends and family.

 

A memorial service will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, October 12th at Saint John Paul II Catholic Church, 2052 Lakeview Dr, Lakeview, New York, 14085 with Reverend Timothy Koester officiating. Burial will take place in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery.

Ursula was born March 22, 1936 in Berlin, Germany and was the daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude Hedwig (Schindler) Hanusa. 

 

Ursula was a Nurse, Medical Social Worker and NYS Home aide for 20 plus years. She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and also the Altar and Rosary Society. Ursula enjoyed board and word games, reading, writing, music, chorus, and most of all, spending time with family.

 

She is survived by her 4 children: Christian Miggiani, Dr. Wolfgang Miggiani (Lori), Rosemarie Pavolko (Mike), and Victor Miggiani (Kien Tjay); 14 grandchildren: Joey Miggiani, Jaxon Miggiani, Sebastian (Roseanna) Miggiani, Ezra Miggiani, Hadassah Miggiani, Nehemiah Miggiani, Bethlehem Miggiani, AnnaMiriam (Merlin) Mast, Magdalena Miggiani, Maria Couchman, Alea Kanash (Laheeb), Adam Krauss, Josiah Miggiani, and Abigail Miggiani; eight great-grandchildren: Oakley and Tucker Mast, Colin and James Couchman, and Jasmine, Laith, Talia and Laila Kanash; and a nephew, Peter Hanusa.
