Thomas Vaughn

Thomas L. Vaughn, age 89, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7th at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Thomas was born March 20, 1935 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Clarence and Nellie (McCauslin) Vaughn. On July 10, 1996. He married Kathy Kaser and she survives.

Thomas was a 1954 graduate of Millersburg High School. He worked 33 years as a transportation supervisor for the West Holmes School District and worked 17 years in maintenance at Lake Buckhorn. He was previously on village council and the fire board. Thomas enjoyed playing euchre, taking walks and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Surviving in addition to his wife Kathy are five children and their spouses, Mary Beth (Gary) Bowman of West Salem; Tom (Laurie) Vaughn of Millersburg; Kevin (Ruth) Vaughn of Millersburg; Lisa (Jeff) VanSickle of Millersburg; and Lorie (Ron) Maxwell of Burbank: two stepdaughters, Brandi (Andy) Burt of Pataskala, Ohio; and Cari (Chris) Toigo of Plain City, Ohio: 21 grandchildren: 45 great grandchildren: two great-great grandchildren: sisters-in-law, Liz Vaughn and Sharon Vaughn both of Millersburg: and his loyal companion, his sweet dog Louie.

He was preceded in death by his parents: his nine siblings, Effie Firebaugh; Ruth Lowe; Florence Cullen; Dorothy Carrigan; Mildred Weaver; Jim Vaughn; Fred Vaughn; Junior Vaughn; and Charles "Butch" Vaughn: and a great grandson, Steven Taylor.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare for all of the love, care and support that was given over the past few days.
