“Together Again”

Thomas “Tom” Patterson age 74, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away February 8, 2024, surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday February 24, 2024, at Killbuck Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Killbuck VFW and Millersburg American Legion Post 192. A Celebration of Life meal will follow at the American Legion.

Tom was born May 8, 1949, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Harry and Ruby (Gallion) Patterson. On November 25, 1972, he married Janie Chapman, and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2020. Tom was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart. Tom loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and show 4-H animals. Tom was a member of the Millersburg American Legion Post 192.

Tom is survived by his daughter Mindy (David) Miller; son Dustin (Jess) Patterson; grandchildren, Cody, Jess, Derrick, Kaitlyn, Destiny, and Logan; sisters Cathy (John) Simpson and Sandy Weiland; and best friend Bob Gallion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janie, son Jody, brother Andy and nephew Johnny Simpson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Smithville Western Commons and WellSpring Hospice for the care they gave Tom.
