Thomas W. Franks, age 87, of Loudonville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 following a period of declining health.
A private burial will take place at a later date at the Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio.
Thomas was born August 9th, 1934 in Holmes County Ohio and was the son of Ralph E. and Mary Lucille (Shoup) Franks. On July 28th, 1956 he married Bettye I. Tharp and she survives.
Thomas was a graduate of Big Prairie High School. He attended Bigelow Methodist Church. Thomas was a truck driver all his life. When working for Cowen Truck Line, he was selected driver of the year in 1995. After retiring, he worked for his nephew, Myron at Young's Sand and Gravel. When he wasn't working, he was working. He was always doing for other people.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 65 years are siblings, Doris (Raymond) Nickle, Gerald (Gloria) Franks, Marilyn Sigler, Carolyn (Robert) Remington, Larry (Bonnie Vauble) Franks, Kenneth (Pat) Franks and Linda (Richard) Collins; in-laws, Julia Franks, Don Tate and Judy Franks; son-in-law, Myron "Duck" Garnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maxine Miller, Cecil Franks, Donald Franks, Cordelia Tate, Richard Franks, and Robert Franks; and his two daughters, Vicki Jean Weaver and Sherry Lynn Garnes.
