Sidney Yeater Obituary

Sidney P. Yeater, age 79, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away May 9, 2023 at LifeCare Hospice. 

 

Sid was born in Shreve, Ohio on April 8, 1944 to parents, Charles V. and Lola D. Yeater. Sid attended and graduated from the 1963 class of Millersburg High School. He was United in marriage to Cecelia I. Chase on November 3, 1962 at Killbuck Church of Christ. They were blessed with two sons: Steve of Glenmont and Bruce of Killbuck. Over the years, Sid was employed at Shreiners Sole Company of Killbuck, Data Card of Holmesville and Felsted of Holmesville, till health issues forced him to retire. While working he volunteered at Killbuck Fire Department as fireman, EMT. Also, he was a Reserve Deputy serving under Sheriff Daryl Weiss, Sheriff Phil Huff, Sheriff Arlie Croskey, and last Sheriff Tim Zimmerly, while riding and working with his best friend, Lieutenant Gary Chanay with shared memories over the years. He enjoyed hunting and riding his many motorcycles with friends. 

 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Yeater; sister, Sandy Ackert; sister, Cheryl Widenhammer; and his parents, Charles and Lola Yeater. 

 

In addition to his wife and children, Sid leaves behind his special friends, Gary and Tammy Chanay, Doug and Crystal Black, Keith and Jenny Mohler, Ronda Madison and Sam Crawford; special cousin, Pat Yeater; and sister-in-law, Marilee Arnold.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Vaccariello and nurse Marla for all the years of special care they gave. Also a heartfelt thank you to LifeCare Hospice of Wooster for their care and compassion.
