Obituary

Shirley A. Thorpe age 90, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away November 15, 2022, following a short period of declining health. 
The Celebration of Life service will be 5:30 pm Friday November 18th, at the Millersburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wooster Church of the Nazarene Missions 3100 Oak Hill Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691
Shirley was born June 16,1932 in Mansfield, Ohio and was the daughter of George and Eleanor (Bitner) Daum.  She married Raymond Eugene Thorpe, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2013.
Shirley was a long serving missionary of the Church of Nazarene and a Professor at the University of South Africa.  She had a passion for education and was always learning.  Shirley was a member of the Wooster Church of the Nazarene.
Shirley is survived by her three children, Timothy (Cindy) Thorpe, Laura Fruehling, and Theodore (Jennifer) Thorpe; six grandchildren, Beriton, Brighton, Lenzil, Dominique, Natalie, and Laney; three great grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles (Nancy) Daum and Kenny (Pat) Daum.
She was preceded in death by her brother David Daum and son-in-law Byron Fruehling.
