Sharon Faye Chaney 75, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away March 20, 2026, at Majora Lane Care Center surrounded by her family following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March 28th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Interment will follow at Killbuck Cemetery.

Sharon was born July 26, 1950, in Wallback, WV and was the daughter of Denver and Mae (Ohse) Justice. On March 16, 1968, she married Rex David Chaney Sr., and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2012. Sharon dedicated many years to Castle Nursing Home before starting her own cleaning business. She loved being outdoors, particularly when searching for mushrooms and ginseng. Sharon enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping from catalogs, participating in Relay for Life events, and playing BINGO—often saving the quarters she won to give her grandchildren. As a relative to the founder of Mother’s Day, Sharon’s devotion to her family never wavered; she treasured moments with loved ones and delighted in pampering her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her children, Katrina (Allen) Heimberger, Salina (Tony) Rush, Rex D. (Angela) Chaney Jr. and Jason (Melinda) Chaney; grandchildren Allison, Kaiden, Brayden, Blaine (Madi) and Abigail; a great grandchild on the way in October and siblings Kenneth “Bud” Justice, Shirley Hill and Connie Porter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Nicholas Heimberger and sisters Janice, Loretta, and Wanda.
