Scott Wagers Obituary

Scott Blain Wagers, age 35 of Millersburg went to be with his Lord and Savior for all eternity on October 22, 2021 after fiercely fighting a brief illness.

Scott was born on May 12, 1985 to Gary and Mary Wagers of Killbuck. He was the third of four children. Scott graduated from West Holmes High School in 2003 and married his high school sweetheart Bambi (Johnson) Wagers on January 12, 2004. They shared 17 years together.

Scott was employed as a Regional Sales Manager for Preco, Inc. He was motivational and fierce! He was incredible and unstoppable at life! He was so good to all who knew him. His attitude and presence commanded a room’s focus! He was uniquely different and he embraced his confidence to the fullest. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting many animals in season with his wife – groundhogs, squirrels, pheasants, doves, rabbits, turkeys, and especially deer. Recently, he and his wife had discovered the art of trout fishing (which he referred to as, “troutin’”), and had customized a kayak trailer for their adventures together.

Scott passionately loved God and sought to understand His ways. He was in love with his Savior Jesus. He was bold and shared the Truth wherever he could. One of his favorite things to do was to talk about the perspective of the Lord or, as he referred to Him, the Moon Maker, the Father of Lights, the King.

Scott is survived by his wife, Bambi Wagers (Johnson) and their puppy Copper; his parents, Gary and Mary Wagers; his sister, Lacey (Erick) Craig of Lexington, KY; his brothers, Hutch Wagers and Quint (Brittany) Wagers; and his nephews, Kolston, Brayden, and Easton Wagers of Millersburg. He is also survived by his close friends, Jon and Ernie Tousley of Wadsworth; Reese Uhl of Millersburg; and Aaron Day of Nashville.

Scott will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He had the kindest, biggest, most uncompromising heart.

A celebration of life for Scott will be held on Sunday, November 7 @ Airport Ridge Sporting Clays, 9537 County Road 292 Millersburg, 44654 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
