Samuel Mast Steimel, 63, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed peacefully on October 15th, 2021, surrounded by loving family.
Born to Richard and Ruth Steimel on November 22nd, 1957, Sam led a life full of love and surrounded by family. He attended West Holmes High School (1976), The College of Wooster (1980), and the University of Toledo College of Law (1983). He enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a lawyer, opening Steimel Law Office in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Ronda Steimel, whom he married on June 20th, 1992, spending 29 years building their love and family.
His love, joy and memory also live on in his daughter Brogan Steimel, grandson Quillan Steimel, sister Beth (Marcus) Ladrach, brother-in-law Richard Patterson, and his wonderful nieces, nephews and grand-nieces.
Sam loved his family and community more than anything else. He served on various non-profits and cared deeply about each and every one. Sam was a lifelong member of Millersburg First Presbyterian Church, and had always seen the church as a second family. He was known as a friend to all and would lend a listening ear and a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Sam was always hungry for adventure; whether in the pages of a James Patterson mystery novel, under the beaming sun in Key West, or to the tune of each and every Michael Stanley song. He always ensured that those around him had a smile on their face, and treasured each and every one of them. Especially those of his grandson, Quillan, who he loved to hold and play with any chance he got.
A private funeral service will be held at Millersburg First Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. There will be no calling hours. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
