Samuel E. Morris, 63, of Nashville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday April 7, 2026, at his home.

Private family services will be held.

Samuel was born June 8, 1962, in Shelby, Ohio to the late Sonny A. and Gail (Imes) Morris.

Sam dedicated much of his life to working as a laborer and was a member of the Ohio Laborers’ Union 1216. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He especially loved spending time with his loyal dog and caring for his chickens. Visits to the Buckeye Deli were a regular part of his routine. Above all, Sam cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Sam is survived by his children, Amanda Whitman, Tyann (Andrew) Hanna, Shawna (Zac) Markley, Matthew (Christina) Morris, Brock (Alyssa) Morris; grandchildren Dylan, Daisy, Evan, Zoey, Skylar, Coy, Naylee, MiraJane and one more on the way in October; sisters Gail Miller and Judy (Tim) Patterson; sister-in-law Rosa Morris and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jeff Morris and Adam Morris, brother-in-law Rex Miller, and sister-in-law Sherri Morris.
