Ruth Frank, age 64, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, Wooster, Ohio with her husband at her side following a 3-month courageous battle with cancer.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Gateway Fellowship Church. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Ruth was born October 3, 1958 in Ashland, Kentucky and was the daughter of Regis and Jean (Minster) Burlas. She married Steven Frank and he survives. They were married for 33 years.

 

Ruth was a 1977 graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School and was a 1979 graduate of nursing school where she received her Associates Degree. She worked at Aultman Hospital, Doctors Hospital, and Holmes Family Medicine as an LPN. After retiring from nursing she enjoyed working at Tis The Season where it was Christmas all year long. She and her husband attended Grace Church in Wooster. Ruth enjoyed watching her children in their various sporting and musical activities over the years, swimming, going to the beach and spending time with her family. She loved trips to Sanibel with her "Sanibel Sisters", trips to Lancaster and Branson to do the Sight & Sound Theater experience and most recently loved watching and taking care of her newest granddaughter. 

 

She is survived by her husband, Steven Frank; five children: Nathanael Frank (Selah), Hannah Barnes (Slade), Amanda Edwards - Rickard (Keats), Amy Edwards - Hoptry (Matthew), and David Edwards; three grandchildren: Andrew Ziegenfuss, Ethyn Rickard and Eden Barnes; a sister, Ann McGowan (Mark); a brother, Regis Burlas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Burlas; and her first husband, Thomas Edwards.
