Royce W. (Bill) Mullet
Bill Mullet, 85 passed peacefully Thursday morning, September 3, 2020 at Pomerene Hospital following
an extended illness.
Bill was born August 31, 1935 in Killbuck and was the son of Glen D. Mullet and Cecil Augusta (Gusty
Middaugh) Mullet. He owned and operated the Elm Service Station in Killbuck most of his life. It later
became known as the Pennzoil Station. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957
stationed mostly in Bamberg, Germany. He was a radio repairman for tank radios and honorably
discharged ranked as a Sergeant.
Private graveside services were on Saturday September 12, 2020 at Killbuck Cemetery with Pastor Cliff
Beck officiating. VFW Post 192 of Killbuck performed military services. Bill was a member of the Killbuck
First Church of Christ in Killbuck.
Bill was formally married to Evelyn (Myers) Mullet, deceased and is survived by three children Earl
(Linda) Mullet, of Wooster Ohio, Mary (Carl) Neutzling of Mansfield Ohio, Carol (Dave) Trommer of
Hudson Ohio, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, sisters Louann Rippeth and Mary Ellen
Baugher. Bill married Patsy (Pipes) Mullet on July 14, 1983. She survives. Bill enjoyed the company of
stepdaughters Amy (Milt) Spreng and Cindy (Scott) Young and their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Harold Mullet, Charles Mullet, John Mullet, and
Lorna (Mullet) Glassford.
The family thanks Dr. Omran, the staff at Pomerene Hospital Emergency Room, Med Surg and ICU for
the exceptional care and compassion expressed over the course of Bill’s illness, and thank the family,
neighbors and friends that have helped Bill over the past couple of years.
The family suggests that donations be made in his memory to his nephew, the Brian Rippeth Benefit
