Ronald Neal Landon

Ronald Neal Landon, age 85, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Rick Weatherwax officiating. Burial will take place in Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio where military rites will be conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ron was born March 3, 1934 in Broadway, Ohio and was the son of Delbert E. and Minta May (Slonicker) Landon. On June 7, 1959 he married Elaine Neal and she survives.
Ron was a 1953 graduate of Killbuck High School. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War era. Ron worked and later became an owner/operator in the grocery business for nearly 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the Killbuck VFW and attended Union Grove Church of Christ. Ron was an avid sports fan, was a little league coach for 15 years, and was inducted into the Holmes County Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and he loved his dog, Daisy.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years are two sons and their spouses, Scott (Jo) Landon of Killbuck and Troy (Christy) Landon of Mansfield; grandchildren, Travis (Jess) Hood of Glenmont, Colton Landon of Killbuck, Conner and Alec Landon both of Millersburg, Alexis Ballash of St Petersburg, Florida and Logan Ballash of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Deacon, Kaylyn, Reed and Quinn; sisters, Joanne Landon of Lucas, Katie Van Valien of Killbuck and Patty (Chuck) Stoker of Plain City; three sisters-in-law, Marion Landon, Sue Landon and Ruth Landon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Madalyn Shafer, Virginia Wilcox, Robert Landon, Wilton Landon, Maxine Landon, Gerald Landon, Graydon Landon, Carroll Landon, Charles Landon, Paul Landon, Jimmy Landon, Marion Landon, John Landon, and an infant brother, Pearl Landon.
