“Be Strong.” – She told herself that every day and it’s how she lived her life until her final breath was taken.
Roma Reed, 93, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away peacefully March 7, 2023 with her family by her side. Roma was born January 27, 1930 in Layland, Ohio to the late Lyle and Pearl (Phillips) Teeling. She graduated from Killbuck High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, Max Reed, on October 16, 1949. They spent 44 years together raising their family until Max left us on December 6, 1993.
Roma had a love for life like no other. She was strong and determined to live her life exactly the way she wanted to. She was a talented seamstress, sewing most of her clothing as well as many crafts. She was an avid mushroom hunter and baker, but most of all Roma loved getting a good deal! She enjoyed going to the town yard sales and searching for her next treasure to bring home. Roma slowed down in her golden years, but she never lost that love for life or for her family.
Her memory and strength will live on through her daughter Pat (Kenny) Franks; grandsons Gabriel Coakley, Kyle (Tami) Krownapple, Joshua Coakley; and granddaughter Dusty (Reece) Uhl. She was also blessed to have three great-grandchildren: Max Coakley, Greysen Uhl and Makaya Krownapple. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Reed, her oldest daughter Kaye Coakley, sister Gloria Landon and brother Denver Teeling.
