Rocky T. Snyder

Rocky T. Snyder, age 63, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday September 9th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rocky was born July 22nd, 1959 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of H. D. and Martha Mariah (Umstead) Snyder. On February 13th, 1982 he married Carol Sandy and she survives.
Rocky was a 1977 graduate of Waynedale High School and received an Associate's Degree from Stark State in Millwright. He recently retired from Timken Steel after working 30 years and was a member of the Golden Lodge Steel Workers Union 1123. Rocky was a member of the Holmesville United Methodist Church. He was Mayor of Holmesville for 25 plus years. Rocky was a member of the Killbuck Valley Sportsman's Club, Ducks Unlimited, Sons of the American Legion Post 551 Holmesville, was a lifetime member of both the NRA and Whitetails Unlimited and he served on the Endowment Committee for the Prairie Township Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting of any kind, woodworking and gardening, but most of all loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Carol is his daughter, Mariah and son-in-law, Andy Mumaw of Holmesville; one granddaughter, Eilee; two grandsons, Lane and Cohen; his brother, John (Linda) Snyder of Wooster; father-in-law, James "Bud" Sandy of Enterprise, West Virginia; brother-in-law, Bob Morrison of Millersburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Anita Sandy; and his sister, Lucy Morrison.
