Robert L. Rowe, 85 of Holmesville, Ohio passed away Thursday April 10, 2025, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday April 16, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Fryburg Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 15th at the funeral home.

Robert was born August 22, 1939, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of George L. and Loretta (House) Rowe. He married Katie Schmucker, and she survives. Robert retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He worked in law enforcement and was also a barber. Robert was a member of Mercy Hill Church. He enjoyed old cars and took immaculate care of his vehicles.

Surviving in addition to his wife Katie, are his children, Matthew (Amy) Rowe and Mark Rowe; sister Beverly Miller, brother Gary L. (Gayle) Rowe, and sister-in-law Jean Rowe.  As well, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry, brothers-in-law Bob Miller and Bob Casey, and his granddaughter Abigail Rowe.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sycamore Run and Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for their compassionate care during his stay.
