Robert B. Hall

Robert B. Hall, age 92 of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Monday evening, January 22, 2018 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Church of Millersburg with Rev. Dr. Kenneth O. Walther and Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by both the Killbuck V.F.W. and the Millersburg American Legion and will take place following the services at the church. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre, Ohio. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio where a Masonic service will be conducted by the Spartan Lodge #126, beginning at 7:30 p.m. friends may also call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice or to St. John's Church of Millersburg.
Robert was born July 12, 1925 in Massillon, Ohio and was the son of Russell and Zora Hall. On January 26, 1945 he married Norma Jean Baker and she preceded him in death April 18, 2015.
Robert attended High School at Beach City, leaving early to serve his country. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army. In 2005 he received his High School diploma from Fairless High School, when he was 80 years old. Robert worked 37 and a half years at Eaton Manufacturing in Massillon. In his younger days, he was a fireman on the Pennsylvania Railroad and worked for Astro Dome, building domes for colleges  throughout the United States. Robert was a member of the Millersburg American Legion, was a  Mason, and served 57 years on the Millersburg Police Auxiliary. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and was an avid Massillon Tiger fan. Robert loved his grandkids and family and he enjoyed time spent with them.
He is survived by his two children and their spouses, Susan (Jeff) Kinney and James (Tina) Hall both of Millersburg; three grandchildren, Jodi (Brian) Patterson of Millersburg, Zeb Hall of Wooster and Tessa (Dustin) Miller of Killbuck; five great grandchildren, Ashley Patterson, Kyle and Blayne Miller, and Roman and Phoenix Hall; two sisters-in-law, Mardell Lee of Massillon and Betty Baker of  Stone Creek; and a brother-in-law, Robert Baker of Navarre.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Lloyd and Gertrude Baker; and his wife of 70 years, Norma Hall.
