Robert Denver Chaney Jr. age 73 of Wooster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. 

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Jason Flory officiating. A private family burial will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Robert was born June 24, 1951 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Robert Denver Chaney Sr. (Madia Pidco) and Doris Arlene Domer (John Haudenschild). He was a 1969 graduate of West Holmes High School. Robert was a owner operator at Ace Doran for 40+ years. He also enjoyed working at Wayne County Speedway. Bob made lifelong friends while traveling around the country with his boys and family through quarter midget and sprint car racing. He loved racing and watching his grandchildren's sporting events. 

He is survived by his life partner, Sherry Myers; three sons: Craig Chaney of Berlin, Rob (Brittanie) Chaney of Millersburg and Brad Chaney of Millersburg; his daughter, Desha (Kevin) Emick of Clark; 12 grandchildren: Tyler Chaney, Cayla (Clay) Martin, Cody (Bree) Chaney, Brayden Chaney, Reid Chaney, Rhett Chaney, Nadia Chaney, Arora Chaney, Paige Emick, Mackenna Surber-Emick, Mia Surber-Emick and Aliyah Emick; two sisters: Sandy Franks and Tracy Gallion; his brother, Kevin (Marci) Chaney; uncles: Richard, Jimmy, Larry and Jay; an aunt, Carol; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
