Robert Stephen Baker, 68, of Shreve, passed away unexpectedly at his home early on the morning of Tuesday, August 20th. Steve was born May 18th, 1956, in Millersburg, Ohio to Perry and Dorlene Baker.

He was a graduate of West Holmes High School and was a dedicated employee of RBB Systems for the last 42 years. He and his wife built their home overlooking the family farm in 1981. When he wasn’t working Steve loved spending time on the farm with his children and grandchildren. He instilled a love of the Lord in his family and was a lifelong active member of Locust Grove Church of Christ, where he assisted in leading worship services.  Steve loved hunting mushrooms and arrowheads, fishing, farming and had a passion for HAM radios, shown by his creativity in electrical engineering. Steve’s witty, hilarious, and loving humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Diane Baker (Esselburn), four children Bliss (Josh) Neville, Benjamin (Lea) Baker, Clinton (Angela) Baker, Josiah (Suhana) Baker and 12 grandchildren, Noelette, Ella, Victoria, and Nadia Neville, Eliza and Eva Baker, Addilynn, Amelia, Aubrey and Alexis Baker, Keziah and Isaiah Baker to whom he was a beloved Papaw. Also surviving are his siblings Roseanne Underwood, Marsha (Paul) Davis, Donald (Marcella) Baker, and Frank (Sandra) Baker. Steve is preceded in death by his parents Perry & Dorlene Baker. 

Friends may call on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg Ohio from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Services will be held 11am on Tuesday August 27th, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg Ohio with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery Shreve, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to the Clinton Township Fire Department, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, or The Gideons International.
