Robert James Allison, 87, of Shreve, Ohio died June 23, 2024. He was born April 10, 1937 in Killbuck, Ohio to Herbert G. and Marjorie (Mackey) Allison and was raised in the Methodist faith. He graduated from Killbuck High School in 1955, where he excelled in basketball, baseball and football. 

On June 28, 1975, he married Ruth Ann (Spitler) Marsh at First Church of God, Wooster, Ohio. 

Bob retired from Timken Steel Plant, Wooster in 1996 after 30 years. He enjoyed golfing with his sons and grandson, mushroom hunting, fishing, playing Independent Slow Pitch softball, and his fur babies: Andi and Mamma. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland (Indians) Guardians, Cleveland Browns and especially THE Ohio State Buckeyes. 

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Ruth Ann; children: Rich (Marie) Allison and Jeff (Julie) Allison; grandchildren: Kelly, Nikki, Jimmy, Josie and Brianna; many great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry (Judy) Allison; and many nieces and nephews. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack Allison; and his son, Paul Allison. 

Graveside services will take place at Killbuck Cemetery on Thursday, June 27th at 11 a.m., with Jeremiah Scadden officiating.
