Richard Gail Edwards, "Dick", age 79, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 after an extended illness.

 

He was born May 6th, 1944 to Gail and Barbara (Koenig) Edwards in Millersburg, Ohio. On December 19, 1992 he married Lori Wright and she survives.

 

Richard "Dick" was a hard worker and spent many years working in construction. He loved his country and was proud to serve in the US Army. He enjoyed hosting his family and friends with get togethers and cookouts. He also enjoyed NASCAR and Sprint Car racing. Dick was a true friend to many.

 

Surviving in addition to his wife, Lori (Wright) Edwards is his sister, Bonnie (Edwards) Voltz of Colorado Springs, CO; his sons: Mark Edwards (Kelly) of Massillon, Ohio and Brian Edwards (Kellie) of Denver, CO; grandsons: Marcus (Taylor) Edwards and Kole Edwards (Chelsea); great grandson, Myles Gail Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Edwards.

 

A private family graveside service is planned for a later date at Fryburg Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Killbuck VFW.
