Phyllis A. McCluggage age 83, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Saturday October 16, 2021 at the Holmes County Home Holmesville, Ohio following a short illness.
A private family graveside will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio.  There will be no calling hours.  Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Home 7260 State Route 83, Holmesville, Ohio 44633.
Phyllis was born September 5, 1938 in Shreve , Ohio and was the daughter of Paul and Virginia (Wetzel) Shelley.  She was a graduate of Shreve High School.  On December 27, 1956 she married John McCluggage and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2010.  Phyllis worked at Diamonite for 37 years where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club, retiring in 2000.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Post 2418.
Phyllis is survived by her 4 children, Bradley McCluggage of Millersburg, David McCluggage of Millersburg, Laurie (Carey Wheeler) McCluggage of Florida, and Roger (Jacque) McCluggage of Holmesville; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and 2 brother-in-laws Ralph McCluggage and Jim Hanna both of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband John and two sisters Irene and Elaine.
