Petronilla "Pat" Schopfer

Petronilla "Pat" Schopfer, age 96, of Glenmont, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 1st at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Glenmont, Ohio with Father Tom Gardner and Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will take place at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery.

Pat was born May 31, 1927 in Glenmont, Ohio and was the daughter of Charles F. and Clara (Dete) Smith. She married Lloyd E. Schopfer on April 19, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2012. 

Pat was a lifetime member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Glenmont and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. 

She is survived by her children: Mary Margaret (Roger) Haycook of Holmesville, Ohio, James D. Schopfer of Danville, Ohio and Duane E. Schopfer of Killbuck, Ohio; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren plus one on the way. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and her four sisters: Martina, Helen, Regina, and Eugenuia. 

Family suggests memorial contribution to be made to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare of Wooster, the Darb Snyder Senior Center or to the SS Peter and Paul cemetery fund.
