Paul Ritchie Baker "Paps"
November 10, 1935 ~ September 13, 2023 (age 87) 87 Years Old
A loving, God fearing, devoted Christian man went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Paul Ritchie Baker "Paps", age 87 of Baker Ridge, Killbuck, Ohio was born November 10th, 1935 in Beatrice, West Virginia and was the son of Wesley Rexroad and Mary Francis (Eddy) Baker. He shared 54 years of marriage with his first wife, Donna Jean White, who preceded him in death on September 27th, 2009. On November 24th, 2012 he married Lura (Hart) Hall, and she survives.
Paps was a hard worker on the farm that he purchased from his father in 1971, which is still family ran today. He was also a proud oil and gas Driller. Paps was a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ of Killbuck. He enjoyed Coon hunting, fishing, John Deere's, the time he spent at his home in Florida, and most importantly, he loved his family. He had a nickname for everyone, just so he could remember their name. Paps was the last of the W.R. Baker family. He was loved beyond measure and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his wife Lura are children: Robert Baker (Diane), Kathy Smith, Kevin Baker, Karen Hunter (Robert) and Roger Baker; grandchildren: Brandie, Desiree, Cory (Steph), Kailie (Zac), Ryan, Megan (Alex), Cody (Colleen) and Lindsey (Kevin); and great grandchildren: Kylie, Paul Jr., Brayden, Peyton, Shelby, Maddie, KieReke, Cole, Lane, Zoey, Khloey, Kendyll, Zayne, Aspen, Ariana, Ellory, Ryland, Hailie and Burke.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Jean Baker; his son, Richard Baker; a granddaughter, Cami; and his nine siblings.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. Burial will take place at Baker Ridge Cemetery.
