Patricia Spahr Obituary

Patricia Ann Spahr, age 86, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, January 16th, 2020 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio following a brief illness.
She was born October 24th, 1933 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of John and Thelma (Mackey) Fisher. John and Thelma were killed in an auto accident when Pat and her sister, Betty were very young. They were raised by their maternal aunt and uncle, Corinne and Karl Snyder. On November 21st, 1958 she married Robert L. Spahr and he preceded her in death on October 25th, 2019.
Pat graduated from Mbg High School and received her accounting degree from the Ohio State University. She worked 16 years for Addressograph Multigraph in Holmesville, worked a brief time for Holmes Soil and Water Conservation, and later worked at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg for 23 years. Pat was a member of the First Christian Church of Millersburg where she was organist for nearly 40 years. Pat was an avid reader. She gave every book a chance and loved to recount her favorites. She loved to travel, especially to the mountains, feeding the birds, and watching Hallmark movies. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to be with them. Pat had a sense of humor like no other and her laugh was contagious. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Surviving are two daughters and their spouses, Connie (James) Magee of Grove City, Ohio and Cindy (Don) Weiss of Edison, Ohio; five grandchildren, Molly (Taylor) Blankenship, Michael Magee, Colleen Magee, Emma (Justin) Beck and Nicholas Weiss; one great-grandson, Daniel Beck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; the parents who raised her; and sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Edward Hetzel.
Services will be held at a later date.
