Otto F. Brenly Jr. “Junior” 82, of Clark, Ohio unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.


Junior was born May 7th, 1943, in Coshocton, Ohio and was the son of Otto Sr. and Pearl (Casey) Brenly. On May 24, 1964, he married the love of his life, Linda Ann Bechtol. For 61 years they built a life together. Junior was a 1961 graduate of Killbuck High School. He served 6 years in the Ohio Army National Guard from 1962-1968. Junior and Linda enjoyed the farm life, raising a variety of cows, goats, horses, and chickens. He started his working career at Mullet’s Store. Junior worked at Bosch-Rexroth and retired after 38 and a half years of service. He was a lifelong member of Shepler Church and often enjoyed participating in Bible study and previously had been a Sunday School Superintendent. In the summer months, Junior enjoyed being outside and sitting in the sun. He loved Oliver tractors, going to Steam Engine Shows and watching old western movies. Junior was an avid sports fan and loved watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.


Junior is survived by his wife, Linda Ann and his three children: Ro Yoder of Clark, Rick (Missy) Brenly of Warsaw, and Roxane (Todd) Allen of Clark; grandchildren who lovingly called him “Poppy”, Amanda (Danny) Troyer, Jarrett (Courtney Hagans) Yoder, Rachelle (Cody) Briceland, Kelsey (Mike Blauch) Yoder, ChazaRae (Travis) Sheldon, Ceirra (Tyler) Parsons, Crisha Brenly and Braden (Jordyn) Allen; great-grandchildren Hayden Sheldon, Hollis Sheldon, Chloe Parsons, and Carmendee Parsons; brothers Gary (Linda K.) Brenly, Jerry Brenly, and many other family and friends. He is also survived by his faithful furry companion Buddy.


Junior was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, infant sister Blanche Brenly, infant grandson Darren Yoder, sister-in-law Nancy K. Brenly, and his best buddy Tippy.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10th at 11:30 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shepler Church Cemetery. A meal will follow the committal service. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday January 9th and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
