Norma J. Mote, of Loudonville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, October 18, 2018 at The Avenue in Wooster, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Nick Cleveland of Grace Church officiating. A private family burial will take place at Union Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Norma was born November 15, 1929 in Shelby, Ohio and was the daughter of Robert Allen and Pearl Evelyn (Morris) Turk. She married Robert David Mote and he preceded her in death in 1996. Norma later married Bill A. Kiefer, he survives. For more than 20 years, Norma was a children's clothing buyer and department manager, traveling to New York City several times a year for the William Annet Company of Wooster. She was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church and was a member of the Loudonville American Legion Auxiliary where she volunteered in community projects. She enjoyed Sudoku, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Norma loved football and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
Norma will be deeply missed by her husband two daughters, Lynnette Stone of Wooster, Ohio and Nancy Swartz of Winterville, Ohio; 6 grandsons, John (Jessica) Tooley, Jacob (Jennifer) Tooley, Joseph (Kerrie) Tooley, Wesley Mote, Jerame Mote and Robert Mote, 1 granddaughter Megan (Cale) Wuethrich; nine great-grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Maxine Arnold; two brothers, Philip Turk and Bob Turk; her son, Robert David Mote Jr., and great grandson Ayden Tooley.
