Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Home Auxiliary.

Mose was born June 17, 1943 on the family farm between Charm and Farmerstown and lived there till the family moved to the farm east of Clark. He attended Clark Elementary School through the 8th grade.

He worked at Yoder Lumber and Sherm Yoder Lumber until being drafted in 1967. He did his service in 1W at Galion Community Hospital for 2 years. When that was completed he continued to live in Galion and worked at the hospital in heating and cooling for over 50 years and cherished his time there. He always said he never wanted to leave. However, in 2018 he began having some health issues and had to retire.

Mose always enjoyed visiting with family in Holmes County and was willing to drive his Amish sisters around to different places they wanted to go. He always enjoyed spending time with his brother, Norman, on his farm where Mose enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout many years.

After Mose had a health emergency in Galion 3 and a half years ago, his brother, Atlee and sister-in-law, Marilyn brought him to Millersburg to Assisted Living and helped to care for him. Mose had a very special time reconnecting with his 11 siblings during this time. He cherished his family with a deep love, unending compassion and of course his unforgettable sense of humor. Mose always looked forward to the Raber sibling breakfast once a month at Der Dutchman.

Mose made many friends throughout his life wherever he went, including at the Holmes County Home where he lived for the past 9 months. The staff members loved him and respected him for his sense of humor and the gratitude that he showed to each of them for everything they did to help him.

Mose had one daughter, Terry (Jim) Clark; three grandchildren: Steven, Melissa and Jessica; and two great-grandchildren:  Vinny and Nadia. Mose was looking forward to the birth of his third great-grandchild in July!!! Also surviving are his siblings: Amanda Miller of Cambridge, Lizzie Troyer of Millersburg, Atlee (Marilyn) Raber of Millersburg, Ella (Adin) Schlabach of Millersburg, Lena (Levi) Stutzman of Baltic, Anna Yoder of Millersburg, Esther (Alvin) Mast of Millersburg, Ada (Albert) Yoder of New Philadelphia, Lydiann (Roman) Mast of Fredericksburg, Norman (Judy) Raber of Fresno and Edna (Marvin) Yoder of Baltic; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy J. Raber; mother, Lydia (Miller) Raber; stepmother, Anna (Troyer) Raber; and brothers-in-law: Andy Miller, Levi J.P. Troyer and Levi Yoder.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Holmes County Home for the wonderful care and everything they did for Mose during his stay with them, and the special care and comfort to Mose and the family during his last days. They would also like to thank Ohio's Hospice LifeCare for their care and comfort for Mose and the family.
