Monroe M. "Buck" Weaver Jr., age 84, of Lakeville, Ohio and formerly of Holmesville passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Buck was born December 24, 1940 in Wayne County Ohio and was the son of Monroe A. and Elizabeth (Schlabach) Weaver. On May 18, 1959 he married Phyllis A. Moreland and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2014.

Buck was the owner and operator of his own trucking company, Weaver Mobile Home Service. He was a member of the USTA (United States Trotting Association). Buck enjoyed exploring technology, photography, golfing and fishing. He trained race horses and he loved visiting family.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Nelson D. (Bonnie) Weaver of Beach City, Ohio; three grandchildren: Garret (Yulia) Weaver of Stow, Emily Weaver of Beach City and Josh (Michelle) Weaver of Strasburg; one great-grandchild Lyndi Weaver; siblings: Roy (late Fannie) Weaver of Morris, New York, Dr. Wayne (Lavina) Weaver of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Ada (late Robert) Schlabach of Millersburg, Ohio, Maryann (David Jr.) Miller of Walnut Creek, Ohio, Eli (Martha) Weaver of Sugarcreek, Ohio and Elizabeth (late Lester) Weaver of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Doyle James Weaver; siblings: Fannie (Harry) Miller, Lester Weaver and Dan Weaver; a brother-in-law, Robert Schlabach;  and sisters-in-law: Fannie Weaver and LaVina Weaver.
