Michael Dale Sears, age 36, of Layland, Ohio passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at his home. 

 

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

Michael was born April 11, 1988 in Wooster, Ohio and was the son of Michael Glenn Sears and Wavelene (Chupp) Bolden. He previously attended Massillon High School where he played football. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and watching dirt track races.

 

He is survived by his significant other, Lisa Short; children: Aiyden Short, Cryton Short and Whyatt Sears; his father, Michael Glenn Sears of Wooster; siblings: Becky (William) Arnold of Wooster, Sandy (Joseph) Brown of Kenton, Sabrina Eagle (Jonathon Miller) of Akron and Justiz Bolden of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wavelene Bolden; maternal grandfather, Levi Chupp; maternal grandmother, Rita Lint; paternal grandparents, Roland and Chloe Sears; uncles: Randall Sears, Damon Sears and Jeffery Sears; aunt, Lydia (Lint) Holderbaum; and cousins, Kimberly and Randall Sears Jr.
