Michael Dean Pence

Michael Dean Pence "Pops", age 72, of Killbuck, Ohio died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Majora Lane Care Center following a brief illness.

Mike leaves his son, Chad A. Pence (wife, Tracey), their daughters Shayla Garcia Fantauzzi (Alex) and Ava Pence; and his daughter, Michelle D. Bermea (Mark); and cousin, Loretta Scheibe (Jan).

He was born July 3, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and was raised in Killbuck by his aunt and uncle, Helen and Kenneth Ridenbaugh.

He was a 1966 graduate of West Holmes High School where he played football, basketball and baseball and was named Most Athletic of his class. He was a member of the West Holmes baseball team that was in the final four in 1966.

Mike was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the US Army serving from 1966 to 1969. He was a lifetime member of the Killbuck VFW Post 7079 and was a proud member of the Color Guard for numerous military funerals and parades.

Preceding him in death were his aunt and uncle, Helen and Kenneth; his sister, Georgiana Ogden; and cousin, Butch Ridenbaugh.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15th at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio where military rites will be conducted by the Killbuck VFW.
