Michael Holmes Kinese, 49 of Holmesville, passed away unexpectedly at home June 17, 2023. He was born in Cleveland on April 10, 1974 to Stanley R. and Grace E. (Meredith) Kinese.

He was a 1992 graduate of Waynedale High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the Air Force.

He was a member of New Hope Church in Wooster and the American Legion Post# 192.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman and loved anything to do with nature. He was an SAR wilderness instructor and was also a whitewater rafting guide. He had a knack for adventure and would frequently go skydiving. He dreamt of hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Surviving in addition to his mother are siblings, Raymond Novak, and Sheryl Novak-Nichols.

His father preceded him in death.

Family and friends may call July 5th from 4-6:00pm at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Funeral services will be held July 6th at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow with 1:45pm entrance at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
