Melvin Ray Miller, age 84, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 3rd at Community Bible Church with chaplain Virginia Pflueger officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Omran, his staff and to the staff at LifeCare Hospice for all the wonderful care that was given to Melvin.
Melvin was born December 3rd, 1937 in Beckley, West Virginia and was the son of Eli and Lessie (Pack) Miller Jr. On December 14th, 1957 he married Jeane Kimble and she preceded him in death on February 8th, 2019.
Melvin was a 1955 graduate of Shady Springs High School. He worked 32 years at Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills. Melvin was a faithful watcher and contributor to In Touch Ministries. He loved traveling and enjoyed gambling.
He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses: Dawn (Tim) Speegle and Wendy (Cory) Allison both of Millersburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Michael Miller, Tiffany Manrodt, Brittany (Houaj) Vue, Kallie (Kirk) Schaffter, Nicholas Speegle, Katherine Speegle (fiancé, Chanler Kauffman), Gillian Alec Speegle, Bronson Allison and Ryker Allison; numerous great-grandchildren; his sister, Janice (Calvin) Trogdon of Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Wila Dean Miller of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeane; his son, James Eli Miller; a brother, Earl Miller Jr.; and a sister, Joyce Drake.
