MaryLou Snyder, age 86, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Monday evening, April 26, 2021 at her home with family by her side, following a year-long courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Millersburg Christian Church with Pastor Darcy Miller and Chaplain Charlotte Glasgo officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

MaryLou was born September 4, 1934 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Lester and Sara (McKee) Henderson. On February 3, 1956 she married Harold Snyder and he survives.
MaryLou was a graduate of Millersburg High School's Class of 1952. She worked at the Holmes County Health Department and retired from West Holmes High School where she served as Secretary at both places. She was a lifelong member of the Millersburg Christian Church, where she held numerous roles. MaryLou played in the Monday night Ladies Golf League at Fire Ridge Golf Course and organized the breast cancer golf outing. She was a member of both the Briar Hill and Happy Bridge Clubs. MaryLou served on the boards of the Holmes County Training Center and Lynn Hope Industries. She volunteered at the Salvation Army and the Holmes County Library where she was a part of Friends and Neighbors of the Library and also volunteered her time with Love Inc. She enjoyed knitting, giving special knitted gifts to loved ones and strangers, reading, shopping, golfing, playing cards, visiting with friends and family and attending sporting events, concerts and musicals that her grandchildren participated in. She loved bus trips with friends, golfing trips to Myrtle Beach with friends and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Harold are four children, Eric Snyder of Millersburg, Kyle (Becky) Snyder of Millersburg, Troy (Julie) Snyder of Big Prairie and Kirk (Shane) Snyder of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Julia (Tyler) Patterson, Carman (Mike) Myers, Kayla (Chuck) Woolsey, Lindsy Snyder and Laina Snyder; seven great-grandchildren, Nora, Theo and Vivvy Myers and Alexis, Katie, Landon and Falyn Woolsey; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Snyder and Betty (John) Mathie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruth Ann (Don) May; and in-laws, Robert (Eva) Snyder, Don (Charlotte) Snyder, Butch Snyder, Margaret (Clarence) McDowell, Herbert (Donis) Snyder and Richard "Dick" (Ruth) Snyder.
