Mary Louise Schopfer age 87, of Wooster and formerly of Glenmont, passed away Thursday morning, November 11, 2021 in Wooster, Ohio.

Graveside services will be 11am Saturday, Nov. 20th at Sunnyside Cemetery, Glenmont, Ohio.  Friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Friday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.  Online condolences can be made by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Mary was born July 28, 1934 in Holmes County, Ohio and was the daughter of Clifford and Mildred (Hawkins) Strouse.  She married Leon P. Schopfer on October 9, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2012.  Mary was a 1952 graduate of Glenmont High School where she was a cheerleader and band member.  She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a current member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Hardman of Nokomis, FL and Doreen (Ron) Bryant of Wooster, OH; a granddaughter, Robin (Brett) Arnold of Orrville, OH; a brother, Lloyd Strouse of Dayton, OH; a sister-in-law, Anne Fesler of Grove City, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon; a brother, Wilmer Strouse; sisters-in-law, Mary Strouse, Betty Strouse, and Joann Snyder; and son-in-law, Bill Hardman.
