Mary Miller Obituary

Mary Pauline Miller passed away June 29th, 2020, at her home following declining health. She was born December 16th, 1931 to Myrt and Bill Starner. She married WWII veteran and love of her life Russel Miller in 1949. They had two daughters Sharon (James) Ritchie and Patty (Richard) Giroux. She was a member of the Glenmont Catholic Church and worked at Owen’s Illinois until she retired in 1994. Pauline enjoyed birds, flower gardening, books and chocolate, but most of all she enjoyed cooking large Sunday dinners and holiday meals for her family. Her life centered around her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Paul and sister Fay, and her daughter Sharon. She is survived by her sister Carol Didinger, her daughter and son-in-law Patty and Rich Giroux, her son-in-law James Ritchie, her granddaughter Roxie (Jeff) McGraner, her granddaughter Tara (Aaron) Haney, her granddaughter Dr. Danielle Giroux, her two great grandsons Johnny and Anthony, and best friend Fern Sowers. There will be no calling hours, a private celebration will be held later with the family. Those who want to express their condolences can make a donation to Hospice or her favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Hospice, Stephanie Collett, and Diann and Vanessa Tope for their generosity. With a special thanks to Nita McNeil and Dr. Ashley Galati for their constant support and care. Pauline will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her, but she will be peacefully enjoying butterfly kisses and wildflower afternoons.
