Mary Ann Goudy, age 81, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio with her loving family at her side.

 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11th at the Millersburg Methodist Community Church (formerly known as Millersburg United Methodist Church) with Pastor Paula Koch officiating. Mary Ann was born February 19, 1942 in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of Miles T. and Evelyn A. (Whitmer) Hay. On July 13, 1963 she married Jon J. Goudy and he survived.

 

Mary Ann worked 44 years in long-term care as an RN. She was a hospice volunteer and also volunteered at the Salvation Army. Mary Ann was on the board for Teen Sing Out and was formerly on the Board of Directors at Pomerene Hospital. She was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church, now known as Millersburg Methodist Community Church, was an avid reader and a world traveler.

 

Surviving in addition to her husband Jon are three children: Steven J. (Lydia) Goudy of Millersburg, Laura D. Taliesin Ed.D of Columbus and Eric D. (Suzanne) Goudy of Millersburg; the pride and joy of her life, her two grandsons: Joshua T. Goudy and Jacob A. Goudy; and a brother, Tom Hay of Canton.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nada McAfee.
