Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Jitters Church, 1545 South Washington St., Millersburg, Ohio 44654 for the Kenya Ministry.
Martin was born March 19th, 1950 in Coos Bay, Oregon and was the son of Jim and Mary Mann. On June 7th, 1969 he married Judy Buswell and she survives.
Martin was a teacher for the East Holmes School District for 25 years and was a pastor for 47 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and playing chess. He knew at an early age that he wanted to live his life for Christ. For his 8th birthday he asked for a suit and Bible. He loved Jesus and took great joy in living for him and winning hearts for Christ. Martin has fought a good fight, he has finished the race. He has kept the faith. There is now laid up for him a crown of righteousness.(2 Timothy 4:7-8) He loved his wife Judy and his family but it’s clear to see that his first love was Jesus. Martin looked forward to Heaven and would take you all there if possible. God is still in control! No matter the outcome God wins! That means we win also!
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Nancy (Eric) Ludwig of Baltic and Stacy Coblentz of New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Edgard) Sanchez, Zachary (Kajsa) Coblentz, Natalie Ludwig, Tremper Coblentz, Harrison Coblentz, Kaitlyn Ludwig and Ellie Coblentz; one great-granddaughter, Ember Coblentz; two sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Landrith of North Carolina and Molly (Denny) Conant of Oregon; his brother, John (Lynda) Mann of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
