Marilyn Elizabeth (Gray) Lydic, 94, of Millersburg, Ohio died November 19, 2023 at the Holmes County Home. She was a strong and caring woman. She had many roles during her life. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an accomplished artist and an excellent nurse.
Marilyn was born on July 4, 1929 at home to Ralph and Edith Gray. She married the love of her life, Frederick J. Lydic, on September 11, 1949. She was a graduate of Killbuck High School in 1947 and of the Kent State University Tuscarawas branch with a major in nursing in 1978. Marilyn was employed as a RN at Pomerene Hospital and the Holmes County Health Department. While a member of the Millersburg Christian Church. She taught Sunday school and directed the youth choir. As a member of the Millersburg Faith Lutheran Church, she taught adult education classes.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Lydic, her infant son Frederick J. Lydic Junior, her siblings: Richard Gray, Patricia (Gray) Miller and Ralph Gray Junior and her parents Ralph and Edith (Parkinson) Gray. Surviving Marilyn are her three children: Kathrynn (Lydic)Thompson, Mark Jewell Lydic and David Parkinson Lydic and his wife Robin, as well as, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and her sister-in-law Julia Gray.
Alexander Funeral Home handled the arrangements for her private service.
