Marilyn Allison Obituary


Marilyn J. Allison, age 90, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 27th, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio following a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Millersburg American Legion, auxiliary or to the Holmes County Historical Society.
Marilyn was born August 29th, 1929 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of PK and Marjorie (Opliger) White. on April 1st, 1949 she married Robert P. Allison, and he preceded her in death on July 8th, 2006.
Marilyn was a graduate of Millersburg High School. She worked as a dental assistant for many years for Dr. Wolfe. Marilyn was a member of Millersburg First Christian Church.  She was a member of the Millersburg American Legion Post #192 auxiliary and did volunteer work for the Holmes County Historical society and Pomerene Hospital. Marilyn had a zest for life. She enjoyed talking to people and had lots of friends. When she met new people, she accentuated their positives and discounted their faults. Marilyn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Ken and Robin Allison of Houston, Texas, Scott and Brenda Allison of Loudonville, Ohio and Tim and Deb Allison of Millersburg, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Jean Walker.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Greenridge for all of their kindness, love and good care that was given to Marilyn.
