Louise A. "Weezie" (Hackett) Taillon, 86, of Nashville, passed away in her sleep at home on Saturday, May 4, 2024 following a period of declining health. Born on April 7, 1938, in Wooster, OH, to William and Lois Hackett, she married William Taillon on December 24, 1959; he survives.

She devoted more than 30 years of her adult life to her first calling, that of teaching much of the county reading this now how to do so as a first grade teacher at Nashville Elementary. A breast cancer survivor of more than 20 years, she spent her retirement devoted to her second calling, gardening, filling row upon row with daylilies and coral bells and hostas, hearty enough – like her – to thrive in the incessant wind crossing the fields and yards of Triple L Farm, the home she shared with her husband, William, for more than 60 years, outside of Nashville. 

Louise is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Taillon; daughters Katherine (Tyler Weaver) Taillon, and Margaret (Taillon) Rodgers; her granddaughter, Christina Rodgers; brother-in-law Serafin "Jun" Garcia; nieces and nephews Lauren Hackett and Chad (Kara) Hackett, Rick (Maggie) Garcia, Mike (Sheila) Garcia, Tony Garcia, and Lenor Garcia. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her younger siblings Sandra (Hackett) Garcia and Steven Hackett. 

Services will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, May 9th at Nashville Global Methodist Church, 302 W Church Lane St, in Nashville; the family will receive guests and friends at the church prior to the service, from 11a.m. to 1p.m. A luncheon will follow the service; a private family burial will take place thereafter.
