Louis H. Thompson age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 16, 2024, at Sycamore Run Nursing Center.

He was born April 6, 1930, in Athens, Ohio, and was the son of late Dale and Ara Vista (Hounestine) Thompson and his late stepfather, Lawrence Dupler. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for over 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was an avid Ohio State fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.  He attended St George Orthodox Church in Massillon.  Louis helped at a local food pantry. He was a member of the Millersburg American Legion Post 192 for 53 years.

Louis is survived by his children, Ara Jean Temple (David) of Columbus, Louis (Babs) Thompson of North Carolina, Timothy Thompson of Millersburg, Deanna Thompson (Jerry) of Nashville, Scott (Laura) Thompson of Nashville, Michelle (Steve) Regula of Fresno, Sharon (Tim) Drawbridge of Millersburg; many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; and daughter-in-law Vickie Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Thompson, sons Wayne Thompson and Chris Thompson, brother Eddie and sister Berdena.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date with Father Dimitri officiating.
