Leland John "Skip" Barnhart Junior, of Saint Petersburg, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at home from Cancer caused by Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. He had suffered for decades from this.
He was born to Leland Barnhart and Martha Elizabeth Nesbitt in Fort Dix, New Jersey on September 5, 1945. He was married to Karen Byrd and she preceded him in death in 2017.
Skip was drafted into Vietnam in 1965 where he served as company Clerk in the army. He received the rank of Lieutenant and earned a Bronze Star Medal.
He is survived by his sister Susan (Barnhart) and Ted Money and brother William and Tammy Barnhart both of Millerburg, as well as his daughter, Mary Barnhart of Saint Petersburg.
