Lee Reining, age 96, of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, Walnut Creek and formerly of Millersburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 22, 2018 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, surrounded by her family following a short illness.
A private family funeral service will take place at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with Rev. Robert Groenke officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Lee was born July 3, 1921 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Rudy and Cora (Oswald) Miller. Lee graduated from Berlin High School and then went on to attend Cosmetology School in Cleveland.
After starting up her own beauty shop in Millersburg, she met her soulmate, Paul Reining, owner of Inn Maid Noodles. They were united in marriage on September 17, 1949 and he preceded her in death July 10, 2007.
Lee loved to Garden, especially loved her roses. She was a good artist and painter, winning several awards for her paintings. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining.
Lee was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to raising her family. She had a lot of love in her heart and you could feel it radiating from her. She shared that love with her family.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, Ed (Brenda) Reining, Bob (Brenda) Reining and Jane (Randy) Flinner all of Millersburg; grandchildren, Derek Reining, J. R. Reining, Joe (Julie) Flinner, Cassie (Nate) Troyer, and Bree, Cory, Doug and Aaron Reining; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 9 nieces; 5 nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Miller of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all of her siblings.
Lee will be missed by family and friends because she was always there for them. She had so much compassion and would always put others first. She now has her wings. Rest in Peace.
