Larry Douglas Loder passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at University Hospital Cleveland surrounded by his family, after a long battle with heart disease.
Larry was born April 12, 1950, the son of Harry E. and Doris J. Loder of North Royalton. Larry graduated from North Royalton High School in 1969 and Ashland College in 1973.
He started his grain farming and poultry operation in 1976 and grew it to the current family run grain operation, Loder Farms, his dream he made come true.
From 1985 to 2000 he was a partner with the late Warren McCulloch in L&W Egg Products. During that time, he started T&L Transport to service the egg products business. T&L is still being operated today hauling milk for Organic Valley by his daughter, Cara Kaufman.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, watching his grandchildren in a variety of sports, and boating at Lake Buckhorn and Florida. He also liked Netflix movies, RFD TV and Fox News.
Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Roach Loder; daughters, Cara (Tom Brown) Kaufman and Briana (Chris) Rickly; stepdaughters, Bree (Mike) McBrayer and Mara (Brian) Padden; and stepson, Billy (Stephanie) Baker; Grandchildren, Thane (Morgan Mellor), Tucker, and Tori Kaufman; Maverick and Marley Rickly; Nathan and Zachary McBrayer; Hailey and Claire Padden; Bodie and Sadie Baker; and Brookie Brown. And his loyal dogs Harry and Gibby. Siblings, Barry (Martha) Loder and Linda (George) Watkins.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dale Roach.
His celebration of life party will be held at Lake Buckhorn Hall this Saturday, November 18th from 2-5 pm. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
